The title of this story refers to a poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson. The poem is about the Greeks returning from the Trojan War. A storms blows their ship to the land of the 'lotus eaters' and they decide to stay on there, to enjoy a life of ease and rest from their labors. the main character of this story is Thomas Wilson.The setting of this story takes place in Capri Island, near Naples, in Italy.
